Following the training course, there will be an opportunity to ask questions of a specialist SEND solicitor in a Q&A session run after the training from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
A person entitled to an EHCP can benefit from the support it affords up to the age of 25. Therefore, it is a legally binding document that can be in place for decades depending on when it is first issued. Because an EHCP can be in place for a substantial part of an individual’s life and because of its fundamental importance to a person with SEND, it is really important that parents, carers and young people have a detailed and well-rounded understanding of SEND law, EHCPs and SEND Tribunal appeals.
Aimed at parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and young people with SEND, this two-day course has been developed to cover everything you need to know about SEND law, EHCPs and SEND Tribunal appeals.
There are three parts to the training:
Part 1 – SEND law
Part 2 – EHCPs
Part 3 – SEND Tribunal Appeals
As places are limited, early booking is advised.
