Inspiration SEND Network – SEND for Attendance Leads
1 February @ 16:00 - 17:00
Every leader is a leader of SEND… but what if you feel you don’t know enough about SEND to really lead on it?
“Every leader is a leader of SEND”… but what if you feel you don’t know enough about SEND to really lead on it? This is the second in a series of interactive sessions for leaders in mainstream schools who aren’t the SENCO, designed to develop knowledge and understanding of the key considerations for pupils with SEND within a specific domain.
This session is specifically for Attendance Leaders (mainstream primary/secondary). Nationally, attendance rates for pupils with SEND are lower than those for pupils without SEND and having learning difficulties or undiagnosed/unsupported autism are known risk factors for Emotionally Based School Avoidance. We will explore the links between SEND and low attendance and share practical solutions to improving attendance for this vulnerable group.
Come and join us for this free, online session, 4-5pm on Thursday 1st February by booking a free ticket on this page.
