This will be a jargon free session about what dyslexia is, how it’s identified and some key indicators. We’ll consider the new(ish) definition of dyslexia and discuss the lesser known indicators of dyslexia. We’ll unpack dyslexia as different areas of need within a learning profile rather than a single diagnostic label, enabling you to consider how to meet these needs. We’ll talk about how to interpret a diagnostic report and make it practical for the classroom. The focus will be on informing in a practical way and providing some tips on how to identify and enable.
